Below you will find links to two sound files and two videos of me playing chamber and solo pieces throughout high school. As our Waldorf school did not allow recordings of performances, most of what I have to share was taken in the shirt pocket of a parent, or during a practice. Note that Covid is reflected from the end of my 9th grade through to January of 11th grade, with no performances possible due to online learning or school event restrictions.

About Me
Music has been a big part of my schooling, where I performed classical recorder and cello. I took an interest in piano in third grade and could not stop playing it since. My first and longtime teacher, Kathryn Winter, was recently retired from 30 years of service as the music theory and piano teacher for UC Berkeley’s Young Gifted Musicians program when I came to her, and she taught me up until Covid.
I enjoy competing with myself, ever striving to do better while enjoying the music and, most importantly, through playing with friends who share a similar musical passion and commitment to learning and growing alongside one another. In this way, music is about cooperation and listening to others, and can be elevated beyond the individual. When we can build a symbiosis when we play, becoming one cohesive organism, that is music in its highest form for me.
February 2022
This was performed in 11th grade during an annual recital that did not allow recordings. This practice was recorded on cell video at home.
February 2020
These two movements were performed by me (piano, grade 9), Theo (violin, grade 10) and Uma (cello, grade 11) for a middle school audience, and sneakily recorded in a parent’s shirt pocket, due to restrictions on technology at school. The sound quality is actually pretty great! Skip to 7:00 to hear the faster last movement.
March 2022
These two movements were preformed live for the entire school by Isia (cello, grade 10), me (piano, grade 11) and Theo (violin, grade 12). My journey with this difficult piece was featured in my personal essay. This recording is from a practice two weeks before the performance, which did not allow recordings.
June 2022
All movements. Performed by me (piano, grade 11) and Theo (violin, grade 12). This was performed in front of an audience for a private recital, so we were able to get a cell phone video for this one.
